Freezing Friday

William is holding on strong, for those of you who think he's trying to stay warm...today is the perfect day to NOT come, or at least not right now. It's nice to be warm and cozy at home with Ella today. I don't think there actually ended up being any ice on the road, but the idea of trying to coordinate getting to the hospital and having Ella taken care of, doesn't sound fun today. Joe is really working on me being patient. He reminds me that the LAST thing I want is for my water to break BEFORE we get to the hospital...this baby needs all the chance he can get to be on the antibiotics that his sister should have gotten. I really want to have a perfectly healthy baby, so I can wait 4 more days if that's what it takes. (Can you tell I'm trying to talk myself in to being okay with the delay?!)

Argh! I was hopefully checking the blog early today...just in case! But I agree with Joe. I'm praying for your body to prepare in due time for Will to come out. He's been waiting so long he'll probably stroll out with a mouth full of teeth, walk around the room and ask for a hamburger. :) (Like that Will Ferrell sketch when he's born as a baby)

Today is too cold. Think of bare legs in metal stirrups - let's wait till God warms the world up for Will before we bring him in. At least, we can suspect he got Joe's patient genes. Ella certainly did!

I hope ALL my children have Joe's genes...he has the best qualities and I pray that William is a man just like his father (patience and all!).

And let's not mention the metal stirrups...yuck.

Keeping You & William in my prayers for a safe delivery.

Eccles. 3 reminds us that "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven; a time to be born..." That special time that has been appointed by God for Will to be born is according to God's providence. For our best and for His glory.

It will be the BEST time for Will, the BEST time for you and for Joe, and the BEST time for Ella too.

I hope that is as comforting to you as the verses have always been to me. Prayers are with you, even from those you do not know.

Yay!! He'll be here so soon!! But not soon enough I'm sure!!! ;) We'll be praying for you guys!
okay, have to ask this...are all babies put on antibiotics when you're induced?? I was induced with P, but that day is kinda a blur...so I wasn't sure if they do that after they break your water??
Hope you don't mind me asking!

Nope, they don't always give the antibiotics to everyone induced. The reason we are inducing with William is because of my labor with Ella. I tested negative for GBS with her (everyone gets tested at 36 weeks) and she ended up with the bacteria infection which caused her cerebral palsy. They induced with Ella, but there were no antibiotics because I had tested negative...with William they aren't even testing me to see if I'm pos or neg...they are just automatically giving them to me (and Will). I don't really understand why EVERYONE isn't automatically on the antibiotics, but you only are them if you test positive from the doctors office. I hope that helps! I always love answering questions about my labors and my kiddos so ask anything!!
