God is SO good to us

...and proves that faithfulness in our Sunday School class today.

This morning was a very normal first Sunday of the month. We taught Sunday School in the nursery during the 8am hour, then attended our normal (and wonderfully lead) Sunday School class. For those of you new to the blog or just checking in on us then let me explain how much these people mean to us. They have been our faithful prayer warriors, friends, shoulders to cry on. They have shed tears along side us, they stayed up at the hospital the night that Ella was born to hold her for the first time, and prayed hours after her birth that we would get to hold our child again. They called in bible verses to one another, prayed on the phone, participated in prayer vigils, brought us meals, checked on us, and have prayed over us so many countless time...and more than we'll ever know. Some even called as many people as they could find around the world and had them praying for us...people we didn't know and will never meet. They stayed at the hospital while we waited on minute-by-minute word on Ella while she was barely clinging to life...and they prayed us through those first 3 days. These people have lifted our spirits and made sure that we never lost sight of the reason that we are tested...so that God's faithfulness shines through.

Today these amazing couples blessed us again. Our Sunday School class got together and purchased a new convertible car seat for Ella. (this timing is amazing because since we just had her weighed and measured we realized she is just on the brink of being too big for her current seat) They purchased this gift with love and paid for it out of their collective pockets, and they gave us an amazing monetary gift to help with the purchase of some of the medical equipment and devices that we are going to need to buy for Ella soon. All of the these gifts I have mentioned could never be repaid...your payments will be in Heaven for sure. They have also been praying for us as they realized that this week marks 9 months that we have gotten to have our sweet Ella. It's amazing to see how far you can come in 9 months. Thank you to our class for your prayers this week. Interceding on our behalf with our amazing Lord is the greatest gift you could ever give us.

Here are a few pictures...one of Ella almost grown out of her old car seat...and some pictures of the new one before Joe has figured out how to install it...she LOVED it!!

Ok so now I am crying. I am blown away by the way people love our family, and embrace the struggles we have all endured. We could not ask God for more and I am humbled by the way he blesses this family everyday. How we can have a special needs child and a loved one at war and still continue to see the good in all things is ccompletely by the grace of God. I can't wait to see how God blesses everyone in heaven. He is so good. We love you and Bella.

I love your friends, girl. We all need people on the battlefield for us, not to mention really cool friends. I am so grateful for your sweet Sunday School friends and their love for you three. They are an example to me to pray harder for you and to ask God how I can meet a need, too.

I love Ella's cute glasses. She looks adorable. Enjoyed catching up on the posts and pics. Thank you. It is a blessing to see how God is working through your trials to strengthen your family. May God guide your surgeon's hands to accomplish the goal. We'll be in Thailand Feb 8-23 visiting our kids. Got the word last night that Chelsey's pg with Baby #3. It'll be born in Bangkok!
