Pudding Anyone??

Ella is cleared for pudding consistency!! What does that mean? We did another swallow study this morning and Ella was cleared for the thickest foods. This includes mashed potatoes, avocados, puddings, cottage cheese...pretty much any mushy food you can hold in your hands and squish between your fingers. We'll post pictures has she starts trying foods. Also, we have to get calorie clearance as we are trying to make sure she doesn't get too many calories while we are increasing her food intake.

Say prayers as we start testing for honey consistency over the next 10 weeks!!

Oh, and if you have any thoughts or suggestions for what is pudding consistency foods, we'd love to hear them.

Feeding toddlers has been one of my biggest challenges! My kiddos are not big mashed-up food lovers. But, Thomas LOVES guacamole. Squash casserole, and, of course, bananas are good choices.

My Bella loves food, so you don't have to worry about what she likes! She'll be so glad to have food again, she will not care. Does them mean less feeding thru the tube? That would be even greater news 'cause I hate the new tube!

Lucas LOVES sweet potatoes. We mash them like regular mashed potatoes. They are much healthier and they usually like them more. Also, overcooked carrots is always great. We used to take the mix veggies bag and blend them up with a little of the water they cooked in. That seemed to work well.
(Lucas still eats all these things!)

Someone already mentioned it, but I was going to say sweet potatoes too. My kids love them. Have fun with all the squishy foods!
