Horsing Around Again

In the first picture you see Ella pushing Ms. Cindy out to the arena. Cindy works at getting Ella to use her upper body to push while she is walking.

Gettin' Back on Her Horse

We are ramped back up and have started doing physical therapy on the horse again. We are still at Equest, out in Wylie (about 30 East of our house). We really feel like this has been huge for her advancing and are so greatful that the Lord has allowed us to afford it (insurance doesn't pay for it). This year we are riding Princess Buttercup...such a beautiful horse!

Chillin' Around the House

New kicks.

Ella got her new orthotics. They help her foot stabilize while she's learning to step and walk. She tends to roll her ankles and even stands on the top of her foot (I know..."ouch"). These are wonderful and I love how girlie they are this time. You can barely see them when she has her shoes on, which is really nice. (the only reason she looks like she's upset is because she's usually REALLY tired after therapy and it had been a long day)

They sure love each other!

Ella loves to climb up and stand in her playroom...and Will likes to try and hug her. He actually trys to pull her over the edge. He doesn't quite understand why she doesn't come play with him.

Brannon (pool) lakehouse

Will calls all bodies of water a "pool". I'm guessing it's because we have a pool and we discuss it often...as in "don't throw all of your toys, rocks, books, household items over the rail and into the pool". So, when the Brannon's invited us out to their WONDERFUL lakehouse at Cedar Creek it was hysterical to listen to Will refer to the lake as a pool. We had a great time. It was beautiful...but next time, no kids...it's HARD to do things like that will mobile little people with no fear.

Where she lays her head...

We get asked a lot about what all we have "adapted" for Ella. This is just one item...and we love it! One of the biggest frustrations when we are anywhere, except at home, is that Ella doesn't sleep safely anywhere. Here is her bed. My mother-in-law MADE the padding that goes all around it because she likes to stand up and then fall back and hit her head...this cushions her fall. Right now we are listening to her play in her bed, but at least we know it's one thing in the house that she can't crawl out of....for now.
